According to the Design code in force it is mandatory to assign a construction supervisor if the construction works affect a building with monument protection.

The amendment of the Government Decree 266 of 2013 which came into force on 1st April 2022 introduced a new qualification in construction supervising called „ME-É-M”. This stands for a construction supervisor who is highly skilled in monument protection. As of 1st June 2022. supervising activities in monument protection require the ME-É-M qualification.
